MORE THAN 700 MEMBERS HAVE ALREADY JOINED THE “ALIANZA PARA LA FP DUAL”!

Frit Ravich’s desire to play an active role in improving the employability of young people has led us to join the Alianza para la FP Dual. This is a challenging path, as the Dual learning model for students entails a cultural change for companies, but we believe that cooperation between schools and companies and the sharing of good practices will be decisive factors in promoting greater and higher-quality labour insertion for young people.

THE NEW FRIT RAVICH FACTORY TO DOUBLE PRODUCTION CAPACITY

Frit Ravich continues to focus on innovation in products, processes and its business model. This is why, in accordance with its strategic plan, in six years’ time, the company will have invested a total of €52M, of which 20 million is intended for the expansion of the production facilities at Maçanet de la Selva.

The investment in the factory will involve extensions to the production lines in order to have the capacity to manage the productive growth expected in the coming years, as well as to handle product innovation.

JOSEP MARIA VIADER, FOUNDER OF THE COMPANY, RECEIVES THE MEDAL OF THE TOWN OF MAÇANET DE LA SELVA

On 7 May, the town council of Maçanet de la Selva (Girona), following a proposal by the mayor, Antoni Guinó, awarded the Town Medal to the founder of Frit Ravich, Josep Maria Viader, since the company has been a key driver of the economic and industrial development in the area by creating jobs, thanks to its constant development and expansion spanning the last 54 years.

In view of the impressive history of the founder himself as well as the continuous growth of the company and its work in the local community, the Maçanet de la Selva Town Council proposed giving the Town Medal to Mr. Viader, in accordance with the regulations established as part of the town medal concept, and the criteria and procedures for its being awarded by the Town Hall.

The event, witnessed by 200 family members, friends, workers, and members of the Town Council, came as a surprise to the recipient of the medal.

FRIT RAVICH – COMMITMENT TO EQUALITY IN THE LABOUR MARKET

One of the strategic cornerstones of Frit Ravich is the value of its people, who are the most important asset of the company. For this reason, the company has incorporated 11 workers who are at risk of social exclusion through the Incorpora programme, which is an employment mediation programme run by the La Caixa Social Project.

For the company, being part of this programme means providing equal opportunities to different groups, and thus giving a better quality of life to people most in need. The jobs these workers have tend to be permanent positions with limited rotation. Furthermore, just like the rest of their colleagues, they follow an induction plan whereby they are shown round the facilities and introduced to the people with whom they will be working.

In addition to Incorpora, Frit Ravich collaborates with other organisations such as the Berstelsmann Foundation, aimed at improving the employability of young people in Spain, through the Dual Vocational Training programme, by incorporating young people into the Sales and Quality departments. The aim is to extend this programme to other departments in the future.

Moreover, the company collaborates with other organisations such as Mifas, Fundació Eurofirms and Fundació Ramon Noguera.

For the company, the incorporation of people with different abilities is important for everybody, because when a person is hired, irrespective of their status, it is a learning experience for the whole team.
